Mission & Vision
Our mission is to make a significant contribution to the security, cohesion, and resilience of Austrian society through targeted, sustainable, and impact-oriented allocation of funding. In doing so, we ensure transparency, efficiency, and legal certainty, adhering to the guiding principles of the departmental strategy "Secure.Austria" as well as the applicable legal framework.
Target groups
The target group comprises public and non-profit organizations, research institutions, associations, and specialized departments of the BMI that implement projects in the fields of internal security, violence prevention, civil and disaster protection, as well as asylum, migration, and return in Austria. For EU and international funding programs, support is also directed at Austrian beneficiaries who act as grant recipients in national programs of the Home Affairs Funds or as partners in Union Actions and third-country programs.
