Mission & Vision
The mission statement of the BMWET is to promote a competitive, sustainable, and innovative economic and energy policy in Austria. It is committed to a resilient and climate-friendly energy and mobility supply, supports companies and tourism destinations in their digitalization and transformation strategies, and creates framework conditions to strengthen value creation, employment, and environmental protection.
Target groups
The funding and service offerings of the BMWET are aimed at a broad spectrum of stakeholders: companies from various industries, tourism destinations and enterprises, research institutions, energy supply companies, transport organizations, municipalities, as well as citizens. In the tourism sector, the focus is particularly on regionally organized actors and practitioners who wish to implement sustainable mobility concepts and climate-friendly tourism projects. The target groups include both established economic actors and start-ups, NGOs, and local authorities.
