About the funder
The Federal Foundation for Building Culture is an independent, nationwide foundation based in Potsdam that has been advocating for high-quality planning and construction since 2007. It establishes building culture as a public concern, organizes events and publications, promotes interdisciplinary exchange, and highlights outstanding projects and actors both domestically and internationally. As an interface between politics, professional communities, and society, it expands and strengthens networks, participates in committees and jury processes, and supports building culture education.

Mission & Vision
The Federal Foundation for Building Culture is committed to the concerns of qualitatively reflective planning and construction and aims to establish the appearance and condition of the built environment as a matter of public interest. It acts as an independent interface that strengthens and expands existing networks and represents the interests of a building culture that creates social, ecological, and economic added value.
Target groups
The foundation's work is aimed at building professionals (architects, planners, engineers), municipalities, politics, administration, as well as the interested public. It supports municipal and statewide actors, assists educational institutions, initiates quality debates within society, and addresses all those who take responsibility for the built environment and are committed to sustainable, future-oriented urban and landscape development.
