CAPE Stiftung
About the funder
The CAPE Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Berlin that provides immediate, holistic psycho-oncological support to women affected by an initial diagnosis of breast cancer or DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in situ). In a protected therapeutic experiential space, fears, despair, and existential crises are addressed. The service is free of charge for all participants and is entirely funded through donations. The foundation's goal is to facilitate early positive processing of the disease and its psychological consequences through a psychotherapeutic process following diagnosis, and to open perspectives for opportunities and individual realignments.

Mission & Vision
CAPE is committed to empowering women with breast cancer or DCIS in their psychological stability and quality of life. Our goal is to provide a safe space where those affected can process their existential crises and develop new perspectives. We believe in the life resources and self-healing powers of every woman and promote the integration of psychotherapeutic and creative methods to strengthen courage, confidence, and self-determination.
Target groups
The funding programs of the CAPE Foundation are aimed at women who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer or DCIS and have consequently experienced psychological distress. They target patients seeking psycho-oncological and therapeutic support immediately following the initial diagnosis, without the presence of a psychiatric disorder. This free support service fills a care gap in the early phase after diagnosis and is intended for individuals who wish to manage their psychosocial burden and actively activate personal resources.
