Casa Acustica – Akustik für besseres<br>Hören, Verstehen, Lernen, Kommunizieren und Musizieren

Casa Acustica is a legally recognized, non-profit foundation based in Berlin. Under the motto "Acoustics for better hearing, understanding, learning, communicating, and making music," it promotes the planning, renovation, and equipping of public spaces – particularly kindergartens, schools, universities, conference rooms, and cultural institutions – to improve room acoustics. The foundation initiates construction measures, supports research projects, and conducts public relations activities to promote noise prevention, enhance speech intelligibility, and reduce noise-related health risks. A key focus lies in the development and dissemination of advanced acoustic concepts and standards, as well as the operation of a network of publicly accessible model rooms in Berlin.

With the mission to create a quieter and acoustically improved environment, Casa Acustica is committed to promoting education, science, research, and public health in the field of room acoustics. The goal is to support projects that sustainably enhance hearing, understanding, learning, communication, and making music in public spaces through structural measures, informational and training events, as well as research.

The funding activities of Casa Acustica are aimed at sponsors, planners, and operators of public as well as cultural institutions – including kindergartens, schools, after-school care centers, universities, conference rooms, monuments, churches, and elderly care facilities. The target audience particularly includes individuals and organizations seeking to improve the acoustic quality of teaching, communication, or performance spaces, as well as researchers and professionals in the fields of room acoustics and noise prevention.
