Mission & Vision

"Every person has the right to shape their life autonomously without material hardship." The cdw Stiftung relies on decentralized energy systems based on renewable energies and on regional engagement in Northern Hesse – following the guiding principle: listen to people and learn what they truly need. Without energy, development is not possible.

Target groups

Rural communities in developing countries (especially Senegal, Belize, Thailand) without access to electricity, including women and farmers. Regionally in Northern Hesse: children, youth, students, artists, cultural workers, seniors, as well as patients in the healthcare sector. Requirement: Projects must align with the foundation's strategy; as an operational foundation, cdw primarily funds its own projects.
