About the funder
The Charlotte-Steppuhn-Stiftung was established by the will of Charlotte Steppuhn (née Naßut), who passed away on September 16, 1990, and was founded by the Charlottenburg District Court on October 17, 1990. Since its inception in 1991, the foundation has promoted the reduction of infant and child mortality as well as the health and developmental support of young children in Germany and internationally. It supports charitable institutions and provides individual assistance to children in need, including through sponsorships and the establishment and equipping of preventive and care facilities. Between 2018 and 2022, over €1,000,000 in funding was disbursed.

Mission & Vision
The Charlotte Steppuhn Foundation is committed to improving the health and survival of infants and children. Its goal is to reduce infant and child mortality, ensure medical care, and sustainably improve the living conditions of children in need through financial support of charitable projects and direct aid.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Charlotte-Steppuhn-Stiftung are aimed at non-profit organizations as well as needy infants, toddlers, and young people in Germany and worldwide. Support is provided particularly for medical and preventive health projects, surgical interventions, therapies, sponsorships, and the establishment of care or preventive facilities.
