Christiane-Schuhmann-Stiftung

The Christiane Schuhmann Foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Erfurt, dedicated to promoting health prevention and stress management in the school context. In close collaboration with international partners such as the David Lynch Foundation, it designs and supports the program "School WITHOUT Stress with TM | Time of Silence." The goal is to firmly integrate Transcendental Meditation (TM) as a scientifically proven method into everyday school life to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and violence, as well as to sustainably strengthen learning and health promotion. Since 2007, more than 700 educational institutions in over 60 countries have been supported.

Our mission is to establish a culture of inner calm and mindfulness in everyday school life through the introduction of Transcendental Meditation. We aim to provide students and teachers with a simple, evidence-based tool for stress reduction and personal development, enabling joyful and health-promoting learning and teaching.

The funding program is aimed at schools, teachers, and students worldwide: from primary and secondary schools to international educational institutions. It also targets school administrations, parents, and educational decision-makers who wish to implement innovative approaches to stress prevention and performance enhancement within their institutions.
