Mission & Vision
The Christoph Lohfert Foundation is committed to patient orientation and safety and pursues the vision of a humanistic medicine that combines technological progress with a focus on the sovereign, health-conscious individual. Its mission is to develop, test, and disseminate methods and tools that improve the path and needs of patients in hospitals and clinics and establish "consumer protection" in healthcare. By awarding and publishing exemplary projects, the foundation aims to provide impetus for a culture-changing approach in medicine and to advance healthcare both qualitatively and scientifically.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Christoph Lohfert Foundation are aimed at research institutions, hospitals, and clinics that implement and scientifically evaluate innovative methods to enhance patient safety and patient-centeredness; project teams from medicine, nursing, health management, and healthcare economics that realize best-practice initiatives; medical students supported in their academic and social achievements through the Deutschlandstipendium; as well as professionals and multipliers in the healthcare sector who are reached through communication and networking measures to promote the transfer of successful projects.
