About the funder

The Christophorus Hospice Association e.V. is a non-profit organization based in Munich that has been accompanying and supporting critically ill and dying individuals as well as their relatives during the final phase of life for over 40 years. A multiprofessional team of physicians, nursing specialists, social workers, therapists, chaplains, and volunteer hospice workers ensures comprehensive care through outpatient and inpatient services. The offerings range from outpatient hospice accompaniment, specialized outpatient palliative care (SAPV), and palliative-geriatric services to inpatient hospice care, as well as educational and bereavement programs.

Mission & Vision

The Christophorus Hospice Association e.V. is committed to enabling people in their final phase of life to live self-determined and dignified until the end. The focus is on the individual needs of seriously ill and dying people as well as their relatives. We promote quality of life through holistic palliative and hospice care and strengthen social acceptance and shared responsibility through education, encounters, and public relations.

Target groups

The services of the Christophorus Hospice Association are aimed at terminally and progressively ill people of all ages who wish to be supported either in their familiar environment or as inpatients in the hospice. Also addressed are their relatives, friends, attending physicians, and care facilities. Specialized services are directed at nursing homes (palliative-geriatric service), people with disabilities (hospice and palliative care advisory service), as well as professional and volunteer specialists in health and care institutions.
