coop-Stiftung »Unser Norden«

The coop-Stiftung Unser Norden is a non-profit, legally recognized foundation under civil law, based in Kiel/Schwentinental. It was founded in 2011 by coop eG, which also provides financial and organizational support. Since 2019, REWE Nord has also been one of the major sponsors. The foundation operates entirely on a voluntary basis, ensuring that every donated euro goes directly to charitable projects. Each year, it supports projects and initiatives in Northern Germany in the fields of health, nutrition, research, art, culture, and sports, as well as youth and elderly care measures. Its primary concern is the active support of those in need, especially sick or socially disadvantaged children, adolescents, and seniors.

The coop-Stiftung Unser Norden aims to promote charitable projects in Northern Germany that provide children, adolescents, and seniors with an improved quality of life. With solidarity, partnership, and voluntary commitment, the foundation strives to support innovative and sustainable initiatives in the fields of health, research, art, culture, and sports. Through careful evaluation of funding applications and close collaboration with nonprofit organizations, it ensures that donated funds are used purposefully and effectively.

Recognized non-profit organizations and corporations in Northern Germany are supported, which implement projects in the fields of child and youth work, senior assistance, sports, arts, and culture. The funding measures are particularly aimed at institutions that support those in need—especially sick or socially disadvantaged children, adolescents, and seniors. The foundation supports both large associations and smaller initiatives that improve the living conditions of these target groups through innovative approaches.
