Mission & Vision

The DAAD Foundation pursues charitable objectives with the aim of providing private donors opportunities to support young and talented individuals from Germany and abroad through scholarships and funding projects. It is committed to international understanding, university cooperation, and sustainable educational opportunities, and seeks to achieve lasting impact for research and teaching through individual funding programs and personal support.

Target groups

The DAAD Foundation is aimed, on the one hand, at private and institutional donors who wish to support young academics worldwide. On the other hand, high-achieving students, doctoral candidates, artists, and researchers from all disciplines benefit from the funding opportunities. In particular, international exchange stays, emergency situations, and project-related initiatives are made possible through scholarship sponsorships and funds.
