About the funder

The Daniel Renn Foundation Germany is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Hagnau on Lake Constance. It was established in memory of Daniel Renn (1977–1998) to provide young people from the wine industry with training opportunities abroad. Through the Work & Study program, the foundation supports professionals and students in viticulture and oenology with 6–18 month internships and study stays at Ohio State University and renowned wineries in the USA.

Mission & Vision

"Vita mutatur, non tollitur" – Life is not destroyed, but transformed. The Daniel Renn Foundation is committed to opening up new perspectives for dedicated young professionals in the wine industry through international exchange programs and scholarships, promoting both personal and professional development.

Target groups

The funding programs are aimed at students, trainees, and young professionals in the field of viticulture and oenology from Germany who are interested in a stay abroad in the USA. Qualified candidates receive scholarships and organizational support for internships, study components, and trainee programs at universities and wineries in the United States.
