With over 300 members, including clubs, municipalities, and individuals, the foundation has capital of nearly half a million euros and can distribute up to 25,000 euros annually. It funds projects related to youth club work, school cooperations, senior sports, inclusion, and innovative “sports for all” concepts, and honors outstanding achievements with the Youth Promotion Award (up to 4,000 euros) and the Siegfried Schmitt Prize. Additionally, it supports athletes and clubs who have fallen into hardship through no fault of their own and sets social highlights with events such as the Heinerfest Frühschoppen.
