Mission & Vision

Our mission is to provide sustainable support to people living with HIV and AIDS, promote social participation, and advance the fight against discrimination. We fund innovative projects and programs for education, prevention, and health promotion, support research initiatives, and offer financial assistance in acute emergencies. In doing so, we rely on effective partnerships with civil society actors, public institutions, and the healthcare sector.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Deutsche AIDS-Stiftung are aimed at people living with HIV/AIDS in Germany who require medical, social, or financial support; organizations, counseling centers, and public institutions that implement programs on HIV, AIDS, or sexually transmitted infections; students, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers who wish to write theses in the fields of HIV, AIDS, or STIs; as well as acute crisis cases and emergency situations not covered by statutory benefits.
