Deutsche Kinderhospiz- und Familienstiftung
About the funder
The German Children's Hospice and Family Foundation (DKFS) has been supporting families in Germany whose children have life-limiting illnesses since 2010. It promotes active outpatient children's hospice services and inpatient children's hospices and advocates for affected families to receive assistance in an uncomplicated and reliable manner. Volunteers from the foundation's board personally visit each funded project and ensure through transparency that donations are used directly and sustainably.

Mission & Vision
"A child does not mean little and not much, it means everything." (Fritz P. Rinnhofer) The DKFS is committed to supporting families of seriously ill children in exceptional situations. We create space and relief so that parents and siblings can regain new strength. Through personal support, continuous project visits, and clear transparency, we ensure that every donation reaches exactly where it is urgently needed.
Target groups
Our funding programs are aimed at families in Germany whose children suffer from incurable or life-shortening illnesses. This includes outpatient children's hospice services, inpatient children's hospices, as well as non-profit organizations providing child, youth, and family support. We support both affected parents and siblings, as well as the professionals in hospices, to enable them to continue their important work.
