Mission & Vision
The Deutsche National Foundation pursues a threefold purpose with its work: it aims to promote the unification of Germany, strengthen the idea of the German nation as part of a united Europe, and contribute to a national identity within a peaceful, open-minded Germany.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Deutsche Nationalstiftung are aimed at outstanding individuals and organizations committed to democracy, social participation, and cohesion in Germany and Europe (e.g., laureates and scholarship recipients of the German National Prize), young people aged 17 to 19 from European countries who receive political education and a European mentoring network within the framework of "SchulBrücken," as well as scientists, experts, and the interested public who engage with the "Reports on the State of the Nation" and public debate events to discuss future issues of Germany and Europe.
