About the funder
The German Foundation for Dermatology is a legal, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Berlin. Founded in May 2005 by the German Dermatological Society (DDG) e. V., it promotes scientific innovations for the benefit of research and treatment of skin diseases such as skin cancer, allergies, infections, and inflammatory diseases. The foundation awards project-based funding in the form of scholarships and programs such as the Clinician Scientist Program, Advanced Clinician Scientist Program, Dermatohistology Scholarships, and Doctoral Scholarships, thereby specifically supporting the medical-scientific junior staff in academic dermatology.
