Mission & Vision
The Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben is committed to supporting highly gifted young musicians on a long-term and individual basis in their path toward a professional music career. By lending high-quality historical and modern string instruments, providing financial grants, as well as organizing concert and competition projects, it creates optimal conditions for artistic development and international presence.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben are aimed at outstanding young string players, pianists, wind players, and singers aged 12 to 30. Admission requires exceptional musical achievements, demonstrated, for example, by awards at Jugend musiziert, the German Music Competition, or comparable international competitions. The foundation supports individual artists and chamber music ensembles on their path to a sustainable professional career.
