Deutsche Stiftung Völkerverständigung

The Deutsche Stiftung Völkerverständigung is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Ahrensburg near Hamburg. It is committed nationwide to intercultural education for young people and international youth exchange. Its activities include information fairs ("AUF IN DIE WELT"), online portals (student exchange portal, language travel portal, university portal), scholarship programs for student exchange and voluntary services, as well as the awarding of the SchülerAustausch Prize. The foundation also publishes guides and manuals and cooperates with exchange organizations, schools, and funding institutions to promote intercultural learning and international understanding.

The German Foundation for International Understanding is committed to enabling young people to gain intercultural experiences and to become open-minded ambassadors of Germany. Its goal is to make a sustainable contribution to international understanding and youth exchange through educational and exchange programs, information services, and scholarships. The foundation promotes cooperation between schools, exchange organizations, and political institutions to make international youth exchange widely accessible and of high quality.
