About the funder

The Deutsche Stiftung Völkerverständigung is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Ahrensburg near Hamburg. It is committed nationwide to intercultural education for young people and international youth exchange. Its activities include information fairs ("AUF IN DIE WELT"), online portals (student exchange portal, language travel portal, university portal), scholarship programs for student exchange and voluntary services, as well as the awarding of the SchülerAustausch Prize. Target groups

The offerings of the German Foundation for International Understanding are aimed at students of all school types in Germany who are interested in a stay abroad as exchange students or within the framework of voluntary service. In addition, the foundation addresses schools, teachers, parents, as well as exchange organizations and specialist agencies for international youth work, universities, and educational institutions active in the field of international education.
