Mission & Vision
The dhu Foundation is committed to fostering a vibrant coexistence in urban neighborhoods. Our goal is to strengthen social networks, connect generations and cultures, and promote local cohesion. In doing so, we act as initiators and supporters of self-organized aid and educational initiatives to make neighborhoods more resilient and community-oriented.
Target groups
The funding programs are primarily aimed at neighborhood initiatives, associations, groups, and non-profit organizations in Hamburg districts where the housing cooperative dhu eG provides residential space. The main target groups are children, adolescents, elderly people, and individuals with a migration background. Projects that have an intergenerational, intercultural, and inclusive impact and strengthen social cohesion locally are supported.
