Mission & Vision
The Diabetikerstiftung "Mittelpunkt Mensch" is committed to the charitable promotion of welfare services with a focus on diabetes mellitus. We support education, upbringing, and public health, assist charitable welfare purposes, and strengthen civic engagement. A central objective is to sustainably secure innovative care and self-help projects for people with diabetes and their relatives through research and financial support.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Diabetikerstiftung are aimed at people with diabetes mellitus (Type 1 and Type 2) and their relatives, self-help organizations, as well as professionals and healthcare specialists in the diabetes field. We support both patients and volunteer diabetes guides and assistants, who are empowered through training and continuing education programs to accompany those affected in everyday life and to disseminate expertise in diabetes care.
