The DiakonieStiftung Osnabrück Stadt und Land is a legally recognized church foundation under civil law, based in Osnabrück. It was established in 2025 through the merger of the DiakonieStiftung Osnabrück and the DiakonieStiftung Osnabrücker Land and is committed to the mission of Jesus Christ to act as an advocate for the poor, weak, and marginalized. Mission & Vision
The foundation understands its diaconal commitment as an indispensable essential and expression of life of the church and practices active charity. Its guiding principle is: “All people are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” It is dedicated to alleviating psychosocial distress and sustainably supporting people in special life crises through financial assistance and project-based funding.
Target groups
The funding is aimed at needy individuals in psychosocial emergencies (poverty, addiction, criminality, old age, illness, disability, unemployment, migration, life crises), children who are orphans or social orphans, women and relatives in addiction support programs, caregivers of people with disabilities or dementia, mothers, especially single parents, and their children in the areas of housing, education, and social participation (primarily in Melle), as well as tax-privileged institutions that care for and support these groups.
