About the funder

The DMK Foundation – Living Together was established in 2008 as a legally independent church foundation and is supervised by the Regional Church Office of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Braunschweig. The foundation’s assets grow through endowments and donations, with endowments permanently strengthening the capital and thus the earning capacity, while donations are used for timely funding purposes. The purpose of the foundation is the diaconal and pastoral care of elderly and needy people at the Diaconal Motherhouse Bad Harzburg e.V. and its institutions. The foundation finances theological and preaching events, the maintenance and preservation of the necessary premises, technical equipment and personnel, as well as appropriate public relations work. Additionally, it acts as the sponsor of individual events in the Bugenhagen Chapel.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to provide diaconal and pastoral support to elderly and needy people based on the biblical gospel. We promote proclamation events and individual services, ensure the maintenance and care of the necessary premises, equip facilities with technical equipment, and finance the required personnel. Additionally, we engage in public relations work to sustainably support the spiritual-theological concerns.

Target groups

The funding programs of the DMK Foundation are aimed at the residents of the Diakonissenmutterhaus Bad Harzburg e.V., the affiliated care and support facilities, as well as the sisterhood of the motherhouse. The target group consists of elderly and needy individuals seeking pastoral care and diaconal support based on the biblical gospel.
