About the funder
The Dr. August Oetker Foundation is a non-profit, legally capable private foundation based in Bielefeld, established in memory of the company founder Dr. August Oetker. It continues the long-standing tradition of social and community engagement of the Oetker entrepreneurial family and supports projects and initiatives in the fields of education, social affairs, health, prevention, and the environment. Mission & Vision
The Dr. August Oetker Foundation aims to improve equal opportunities for the upbringing, living conditions, and future prospects of children and young people, to strengthen their social responsibility and voluntary engagement, and to empower them to shape their lives actively, resiliently, and with self-efficacy. At the same time, the Foundation contributes to a livable world for future generations through the promotion of sustainable development.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Dr. August Oetker Foundation are aimed at children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, particularly those who, due to complex disadvantaged circumstances in Bielefeld and the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region, are unable to fully develop their potential. Initiatives with a clearly identifiable educational character, projects promoting social participation, as well as health-promoting and preventive measures are supported.
