About the funder
The Dr. Jürgen Gesling Foundation was established on June 21, 2013, by Dr. med. dent. Jürgen Gesling and exclusively and directly pursues charitable and benevolent purposes within the meaning of the German Tax Code. It supports educational, social, and cultural projects as well as the financial assistance of needy individuals and institutions in the Unna district. Since 2020, the foundation has annually awarded the Dr. Jürgen Gesling Prize, endowed with a total of 40,000 euros, to specifically support diverse projects and personalities in the region.

Mission & Vision
The Dr. Jürgen Gesling Foundation is committed to strengthening social cohesion in the Unna district and providing unbureaucratic assistance to people in need, social institutions, and cultural initiatives. It supports education, upbringing, vocational training and further education, as well as cultural and social projects, and uses its resources selflessly and exclusively for statutory purposes.
Target groups
Grant applications may be submitted by any natural or legal person from the Unna district who is deemed worthy of support according to the statutes. This includes, in particular, institutions for child, youth, and elderly care, educational and training providers, social institutions and initiatives in distress, cultural and charitable projects in the region, as well as individuals of all ages facing financial hardship.
