Mission & Vision

The Dr. Jürgen Köster Foundation aims to "open doors for socially disadvantaged elderly people." It supports existing initiatives and develops its own sustainable projects to alleviate old-age poverty and loneliness, as well as to enable participation, creativity, and appreciation for people with dementia. To this end, the foundation pools financial resources, expertise, and networks to promote both social services and training and further education in the care sector.

Target groups

The funding programs are aimed at elderly people affected by old-age poverty, loneliness, or homelessness; at people with dementia and their relatives; as well as at organizations and initiatives in the health and social sectors (e.g., care facilities, social services, non-profit associations) that implement practical support services or creative projects for these target groups.
