Description

The Dr. Jürgen Köster Foundation in Hamburg-Altona and St. Pauli supports needy seniors as well as initiatives and institutions dedicated to the sustainable alleviation of old-age poverty and the care of people with dementia. Private individuals, public institutions, and non-profit organizations can submit grant applications at any time. Projects are funded in the areas of health, elderly care, education, arts & culture, as well as vocational training and further education. In addition to financial support, continuing education measures for nursing staff and other professionals in the health and social sectors are particularly supported to permanently improve the quality of care.

The foundation aims to strengthen public healthcare and public health services, enable culture-based offerings for seniors, and promote charitable purposes in accordance with § 53 AO. The focus is on measures to combat and prevent old-age poverty, outpatient medical care projects, as well as cultural and educational event formats for people with dementia and their relatives. Applications can be submitted continuously; there is no formal deadline.
