About the funder

The Dreikönigs Foundation was established in December 1993 to secure the material basis of the social and hospice services of the Dreikönigsverein in the long term. As a non-profit foundation, it awards tax-advantaged donations and endowments to support the outpatient and inpatient hospice services, the Siemerling Social Award endowed with €10,000, as well as to co-finance youth trips for fostering international understanding with Israel. Decisions are made by a board of trustees, represented by a foundation executive board.

Mission & Vision

The mission of the Dreikönigs-Stiftung is to secure the long-term sustainability of the Dreikönigsverein’s hospice service (both outpatient and inpatient), the Siemerling Social Award honoring voluntary commitment, and youth exchanges with Israel through sustainable funding. In doing so, the foundation contributes to the promotion of compassion, intercultural understanding, and social community in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Target groups

The funding activities of the Dreikönigs-Stiftung are aimed at terminally ill individuals and their relatives (inpatient and outpatient hospice services), initiatives and individuals from the field of social work who have distinguished themselves through civic-mindedness and voluntary commitment (applicants for the Siemerling Social Award), as well as adolescents and young adults participating in youth trips organized by the Dreikönigsverein, thereby experiencing international understanding with Israel.
