About the funder
DUS-illuminated® is a non-profit community foundation based in Düsseldorf, founded in 2003. It builds on the historic Düsseldorf illumination tradition and artistically stages selected buildings, squares, and bridges of the city through artistic light installations. The foundation is primarily financed through endowments, sponsors, and donations. In close collaboration with lighting designers, artists, architects, and technical partners, it realizes innovative projects to enhance the urban space.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in Düsseldorf's urban space through high-quality lighting projects. We promote the fusion of technology and art to illuminate cityscapes, river landscapes, and historic buildings, thereby strengthening identification and community spirit among the population.
Target groups
DUS-illuminated® is aimed at citizens as well as companies and institutions interested in the artistic and technical design of public spaces. Engineers, architects, lighting designers, artists, lawyers, and advertising professionals can participate as donors and active contributors, as can cultural institutions, foundations, and municipal authorities.
