About the funder
The Eberhard-Schürmann-Stiftung is one of several foundations under the umbrella of the Association of Friends of the Clausthal University of Technology. It supports outstanding achievements in studies and research in the fields of metallurgy, materials and materials science, as well as the application technology of metallic materials both domestically and internationally, through the proceeds of its endowment capital.

Mission & Vision
The purpose of the Eberhard-Schürmann-Stiftung is to support outstanding dissertations, bachelor's, master's, and term papers as well as scientific projects in the field of metallurgy and materials science with the proceeds from the foundation's capital, and to promote international collaboration in these disciplines.
Target groups
Eligible to apply are all members of Clausthal University of Technology – students, faculty, and researchers – who are active in the fields of metallurgy, materials and materials science, as well as application technology of metallic materials. Funding is provided for outstanding theses, scientific projects, and cooperative research and teaching activities.
