About the funder

The Eberhard Schultz Foundation for Social Human Rights and Participation is a legally recognized civil law foundation based in Berlin. Founded in 2011 by attorney Eberhard Schultz, it promotes the establishment and enforcement of economic, social, and cultural human rights (the right to work, housing, education, health, and social security) as enforceable individual claims. The foundation initiates and supports model projects, research, and public relations work, awards prizes (Social Human Rights Award), and networks stakeholders to strengthen the participation of disadvantaged groups in decision-making processes. It operates independently of political parties and religious affiliations and is financed through foundation assets and donations.
