Edmund Rehwinkel-Stiftung der Landwirtschaftlichen Rentenbank

Public foundation

About the funder

The Edmund Rehwinkel Foundation was established in 1974 by the Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank in honor of its long-serving Chairman of the Administrative Board, Edmund Rehwinkel. It supports agricultural science research with direct benefits for agriculture. The foundation's purpose is fulfilled through two programs: on the one hand, the annual call for proposals for thematically current studies with funding amounts of up to EUR 40,000 each, and on the other hand, the awarding of scholarships to outstanding students in master's degree programs in agricultural or nutritional sciences in Germany.

Mission & Vision

The Edmund Rehwinkel Foundation is committed to promoting practice-oriented research and talented young professionals in the agricultural and food industries. Through its study and scholarship programs, it aims to advance scientific innovations and enable students to develop their professional and personal skills. The goal is to make a direct contribution to the advancement and competitiveness of agriculture.

Target groups

The scholarships are aimed at high-achieving and socially committed students who begin a master's program with a focus on agricultural or nutritional sciences in the autumn or who are in their first semester of a master's program at a German university. The funding also targets researchers as well as institutions (universities, universities of applied sciences, research institutions) that wish to address current issues in agricultural economics.
