About the funder

The EifelStiftung is a legally recognized, non-profit foundation with the primary purpose of permanently preserving and promoting the cultural landscape and nature of the Eifel region. It is active in the fields of nature and species conservation, monument protection, as well as youth and senior assistance. To this end, the foundation acquires or takes over land specifically to secure habitats for rare plants and animals, supports the maintenance of historic buildings, and promotes regional projects and initiatives through financial grants and ideological support. The foundation makes its land available for practical nature conservation and cooperates closely with authorities, conservation organizations, and the local population.

Mission & Vision

The EifelStiftung is committed to the long-term preservation and sustainable development of the Eifel as a natural habitat. It supports projects that advance the protection of native biodiversity, the preservation of cultural monuments, and the strengthening of social services for young and old in the Eifel. In doing so, it aims to raise awareness among people about the importance of their living environment, encourage their participation, and provide a platform for community engagement.

Target groups

The funding programs of the EifelStiftung are aimed at municipalities, nature conservation groups, monument preservationists, youth and senior facilities, as well as individuals and associations in the Eifel region who wish to implement innovative and sustainable projects in the fields of nature and species protection, monument preservation, or social support. Regional cooperatives and initiatives that contribute to the preservation and development of the cultural landscape can also receive support.
