El Puente-Stiftung

The EL PUENTE Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation with the aim of raising awareness among people in Germany about the concerns of countries in the southern hemisphere. It promotes development policy education and public relations by financially supporting groups and initiatives that carry out educational measures on issues of global justice. Furthermore, the foundation initiates its own projects in the spirit of the EL PUENTE family, which is committed to sustainability and fair trade.

The EL PUENTE Foundation is committed to an autonomous and independent development in the Global South that ensures the well-being of the majority of the population, protects minorities, and guarantees the fulfillment of basic needs. It promotes a just world economic order in which the interests of countries in the southern hemisphere are given greater consideration, and contributes to the promotion of Fair Trade and sustainable practices through development policy education and public relations work.

Initiatives and groups in Germany (e.g., world shops, action groups, associations) engaged in development policy education and public relations work are supported. The programs target individuals and organizations that wish to implement innovative educational measures and campaigns on global justice, fair trade, and sustainable development.
