Elisabeth Gätgens Stiftung - Heidbarghof Osdorf
About the funder
The Elisabeth Gätgens Foundation was established in 1982 based on the handwritten will of Elisabeth Gätgens († 1982). Its purpose is the preservation and maintenance of the historic ensemble around the Heidbarghof in Hamburg-Osdorf, as well as the continuous organization of social and cultural events in this listed civic building. Since 1976, Elisabeth Gätgens made the hall of the Heidbarghof available to the Osdorf Cultural Circle for concerts, readings, and meetings. The foundation manages the assets on a voluntary basis, invests a large portion of its annual income into the fabric of the house, and, in cooperation with the Osdorf Citizens and Homeland Association, organizes a diverse program for all age groups.
