Mission & Vision

"Promoting research. Helping people." – The EKFS aims to increase knowledge about the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases by supporting outstanding research projects in the medical-scientific field and through humanitarian funding programs, while making the results accessible to the public at all times.

Target groups

The scientific funding programs of the EKFS are aimed at physicians who wish to combine research and clinical practice (clinician scientists), at early-career researchers in medicine, as well as at researchers with key projects that promise breakthroughs in diagnosis and therapy. In the humanitarian sector, non-profit organizations and initiatives are supported that implement global health and education projects and assist disadvantaged communities.
