About the funder
The Emmy Schuster-Holzammer Foundation is a non-profit, public foundation under civil law based in Rosenheim. It was established in 1987 based on the will of Emmy Schuster (née Holzammer) and is dedicated to the care of physically and/or mentally disabled people in the city and district of Rosenheim. Its core activity is the establishment and maintenance of residential and care facilities, foremost the Emmy Schuster House, opened in 1992, with 60 residential places in six supervised living groups. In addition, the foundation operates further residential complexes (including on Altdorfer Straße, Hochfellnstraße, Schießstattstraße, Karlsbaderstraße, and Karolinenstraße) as well as a commercial building where disabled people find employment opportunities. As a grant-giving foundation, it annually awards a six-figure sum to organizations and projects in disability work.

Mission & Vision
The foundation aims to recognize the individual support needs of people with disabilities and to enable them to live a self-determined life in a family-like atmosphere. It creates living arrangements where residents can live together as in a family and promotes social integration and participation of disabled people in the region through financial support and investments in housing and work projects.
Target groups
The support and housing services are aimed at physically and/or mentally disabled individuals in the city and district of Rosenheim. As a funding foundation, it also specifically supports organizations, associations, and projects related to disability work in the region, including disability sports clubs, special education schools, open disability services, and individual persons with urgent needs.
