About the funder

The non-profit EQUA Foundation was established in 2001 to expand knowledge about family businesses and entrepreneurial families by promoting research, exchange of experience, and practical offerings. It supports chairs, university institutes, and research projects interdisciplinarily with financial resources, scholarships, and publication subsidies. Additionally, it develops innovative digital tools, offers workshops, facilitation, and confidential consulting for entrepreneurial families. Over more than 20 years, the foundation has built a network of scholars, experts, and practitioners to support family businesses in a practical and future-oriented manner. It funds EQUA Foundation chairs, awards sponsorships starting at €100 per month, and supports individual research projects and long-term studies.
