Erich und Liselotte Gradmann-Stiftung
About the funder
The Erich and Liselotte Gradmann Foundation is a legal foundation under civil law, established in 1991 by the directive of Liselotte Gradmann. The principal endowment originates from the proceeds of an insurance agency founded in 1926 by Erich Gradmann together with a partner. After the death of her husband, Liselotte Gradmann lived in Ostfildern-Nellingen and wished for her assets to benefit elderly, needy individuals after her passing. The foundation primarily supports the construction or acquisition of senior-appropriate housing (including outpatient supervised shared apartments, partial inpatient and inpatient care facilities), the promotion of innovative concepts in the field of dementia, education and training as well as research in care and support, and through the awarding of prizes (e.g., the Gradmann Promotion Award) and honors.

It fulfills its foundation’s purpose by providing age-appropriate housing, promoting innovative care concepts, especially for dementia, as well as through education, advanced training, and research in the fields of nursing and care provision. The goal is to enable elderly people to live a dignified, self-determined life and to sustainably advance nursing and structural standards.
Target groups
The funding opportunities of the Erich and Liselotte Gradmann Foundation are aimed at elderly people in need of assistance, particularly those with dementia or requiring support in daily life.
