Ernsting Stiftung Alter Hof Herding

The Ernsting Art & Culture Foundation was established in 1995 by Kurt and Lilly Ernsting and has become an important driving force for art, culture, and education in the Münsterland region and nationwide. With its central project locations – the Glass Museum Lette and the Konzert Theater Coesfeld within the historic ensemble Alter Hof Herding – it supports creative talents and creates inspiring spaces for cultural exchange. Since 1996, the Glass Museum Lette has exhibited an outstanding collection of contemporary European glass art, while the Konzert Theater Coesfeld, with 623 seats, offers a diverse program of concerts, musical theater, drama, and dance.

The Ernsting Art & Culture Foundation is passionately committed to keeping art and culture alive and fostering creative talents. It aims to create spaces where traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creativity come together to strengthen social cohesion and cultural diversity.

The foundation's offerings and projects are aimed at artists and cultural professionals as well as a broad audience of culture-interested visitors. Special attention is given to emerging young artists in the fields of glass design and performing arts, as well as to schools and educational institutions in the Münsterland region and beyond.
