The ESC – Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation is a legal foundation under civil law based in Hamburg. It was established on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the founding of its predecessor companies to promote education in the legal, economic, and tax advisory professions. The foundation awards scholarships, sponsorship prizes, and grants for printing costs of scientific papers as well as domestic and international stays, and organizes competitions in the context of diploma theses and dissertations.
