The Evangelical Vocational Schools for Social Pedagogy Alten Eichen gGmbH are part of the Diakonie Alten Eichen network and offer two training programs under one roof in Hamburg: the state-recognized educator training and the vocational school for social pedagogical assistance (SPA). With a tradition of over one hundred years in educator training, they enable practical, vibrant learning within a close-knit community. The vocational school is distinguished by a multiprofessional faculty, close cooperation with church and diaconal partners, and its own campus dormitory with over 100 places.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to holistically support aspiring social pedagogical professionals by closely integrating theory and practice, providing individual guidance, and offering a value-oriented, inclusive learning environment. We see ourselves as a center of competence where young people develop their pedagogical professionalism and assume responsibility within the church and society.
Target groups
The training is aimed at school graduates and professionals seeking to obtain a state-recognized qualification as an educator or social pedagogical assistant. Our programs particularly address individuals who are looking for practice-oriented learning in a Protestant, diaconal environment and are willing to take responsibility for children and adolescents.
