It promotes education and upbringing in evangelical responsibility through sponsorship, founding, and management of 42 daycare centers, after-school care facilities, primary and secondary schools in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia. With around 1,000 employees, it supports the educational work at its institutions and is committed to programs such as digitalization, inclusion, and reform pedagogy.

Mission & Vision
The Evangelical School Foundation in Central Germany St. Johannes fulfills its educational mandate by supporting evangelical educational institutions that embrace young people in their individuality and impart Christian as well as democratic values. It is committed to a Christian-influenced school culture in which learning is understood as a communal and holistic experience, and where children and adolescents can grow in a trusting atmosphere.
Target groups
The foundation's offerings are aimed at sponsors, management, and staff of Protestant daycare centers, after-school care centers, primary and secondary schools in Central Germany, as well as prospective teachers and lateral entrants. In addition, it supports students within the framework of the Deutschlandstipendium and promotes regional programs for the further training of educational personnel. The foundation's programs are designed to qualify professionals and to anchor Protestant educational and pedagogical concepts in school practice.
