Mission & Vision
We stand strong when families run out of strength. Our goal is to provide affected families with straightforward and impartial support—whether in the form of practical advice, financial grants, or emotional guidance following the loss of a child. In doing so, we aim to raise societal awareness of the needs of sick, disabled, and grieving families.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Franz Schubert Foundation are aimed at children with severe and rare diseases and their families, as well as bereaved parents and siblings. The focus is particularly on families from the Southeast Upper Bavaria region (city and district of Rosenheim, Miesbach, Ebersberg, Erding, Mühldorf am Inn, Altötting, Traunstein, and Berchtesgadener Land) as well as those with a personal connection. The foundation seeks to provide assistance where public and private institutions are insufficient and individual needs are high.
