Frauenorte / Edith-Lücke-Stiftung

The Frauenorte Edith-Lücke Foundation was established in 2012 by Edith B. Lücke and is a foundation by women for women, based in Bremen. The assets primarily consist of real estate, the proceeds of which are used in accordance with the statutes to support funding. From these proceeds, the foundation supports initiatives and institutions that assist women and girls threatened by or affected by violence. It particularly targets shelters and counseling centers that provide vital assistance and protection services.

The Frauenorte Edith-Lücke Foundation is committed to strengthening and preserving social networks for the benefit of women and girls. Its goal is to enable targeted project funding from the foundation's financial returns in order to sustainably ensure the protection, support, and survival of women and girls affected by violence.

Non-profit organizations and projects that implement specific initiatives to support women and girls in shelters and counseling centers are eligible for funding. Eligible measures are those that go beyond basic ongoing care and directly benefit women and girls in crisis situations before or after experiences of violence.
