About the funder
The Fritz Henkel Foundation is a non-profit, legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Düsseldorf. Since its establishment in 2011—named after Henkel founder Fritz Henkel and independent of the company Henkel AG & Co. KGaA—it has allocated more than €32 million in funding worldwide. Over 4,800 projects have been supported, and approximately 3.8 million people have gained access to sustainable education. A key focus lies on inclusive education for disadvantaged children and youth, cooperation with non-profit partners, as well as promoting the voluntary engagement of employees and retirees of the Henkel Group.

Mission & Vision
"More justice and cohesion in society" – the Fritz Henkel Foundation promotes inclusive education and equal opportunities by removing barriers and enabling disadvantaged children and young people to access schooling, career entry, and social participation. It supports non-profit organizations, encourages voluntary engagement, and is committed to ensuring that young people can realize their full potential.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Fritz Henkel Foundation are aimed worldwide at children and young people who are disadvantaged due to their social background, as well as at organizations and projects that provide inclusive educational opportunities. Furthermore, non-profit organizations in Germany and internationally are supported, and the voluntary commitment of Henkel employees is promoted.
