Gemeinnützige Stiftung Gabriel

Non-profit organization

About the funder

The Gemeinnützige Stiftung Gabriel was founded by a parents' initiative aiming to create life and work opportunities for their own disabled children. It is the sole sponsor of Gabriel gGmbH in Hamburg and the majority shareholder (94%) of Louisenhof gGmbH in Schwarzenbek (Schleswig-Holstein). Both companies operate social-therapeutic work, residential, cultural, and leisure projects as well as day care centers and support services for people with disabilities. Furthermore, the foundation conducts its own projects for orphaned or socially disadvantaged children and adolescents with disabilities and serves as a funding foundation for acquiring public donations. The foundation operates within the diaconal-missionary mandate of the Gospel and is a member of the Diakonisches Werk Hamburg.
