About the funder
Promoting church-related endowments and helping people to help others: these are the goals of the community foundation established by the Archdiocese in 2010. The foundation is committed to sustainably carrying Christian values and new forms of Christian engagement into the future. Therefore, the community foundation supports charitable and non-profit projects of the Archdiocese and its parishes, as well as the deanery associations, church foundations, and other church legal entities. To further strengthen church endowments, it also assumes sponsorship of dependent trust foundations. Through its professional administration of foundations and their assets, it relieves donors of administrative burdens.

Mission & Vision
Carrying Christian values into the future: The Community Foundation of the Archdiocese of Freiburg supports charitable and non-profit projects as well as ecclesiastical foundations within the Archdiocese. It creates sustainable impulses for education, youth, family, and global church engagement by providing funding, managing trust foundations, and professionally administering assets.
Target groups
The Community Foundation is aimed at the Archdiocese of Freiburg, its parishes, joint parishes, deaneries, deanery associations, church foundations, and other ecclesiastical legal entities that require idealistic and material support in pursuing their ecclesiastical, charitable, and nonprofit purposes. Additionally, it advises and supports donors in establishing independent and trust foundations.
