Mission & Vision

The Georges Anawati Foundation is committed to promoting interreligious dialogue and peaceful encounters between Christians and Muslims. Our goal is to support initiatives based on mutual respect, understanding, and comprehension. We believe in the transformative power of dialogue and aim to build bridges to dismantle prejudices and foster harmonious coexistence in our pluralistic society.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Georges Anawati Foundation are aimed at non-profit and church-based organizations, initiatives, and individuals who develop creative, innovative projects in the field of Christian-Islamic dialogue. The focus is on neighborhood coexistence, formal and non-formal educational work, culturally oriented encounter formats, and partnerships between Christian and Muslim actors. Short- to medium-term projects (up to two years in duration) are supported, but not state, party-affiliated, or major church institutions.
